KINGDOM RESTORATION PROCESS
Hope for the Glorious Church
Jesus Christ wants to present to himself a glorious church without spot, wrinkle, or any such thing, but a holy and unblemished church. If this will ever happen, then the Churchust take cognizance of the following, to mention but a few:
- The Church must desisr from the sin of Adam. That is, the sin of disobedience to biblical injunctions. Most of the doctrines that the church operates on today are doctrines emanating from their leaders and are similar to what Jesus Christ stood against during his earthly ministry. The doctrines which he called traditions of the fathers operated by the Sahendein class. The Bible must be the universal doctrine of every church.
- The church must follow the Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:18-29, Mark 16:15-18, Luke 24:45-48;John 20:21 and Acts 1:8. The current practice of inviting would be believer to join a particular denomination and showing Jesus as problem solver alone should give way to preaching Jesus as Saviour and Lord. And teaching the Bible doctrines in order to make such person true disciple should be intensified. The resent form of invitation and showing Jesus as problem solver blocks people psychic of making Jesus Lord and Savior of their lives. Hence they become lukewarm and find it difficult to be Christ-like and submit to His Lordship.
- The bond of marriage between the church and the world should be broken. That is the church should divorce the world and practice what is called Christians Separation. The church should keep I mind that friendship with world is enmity with God. Jas 4:4 and that she should not love the world and things of the world as an instruction given to her 1John 2:15-17.
- Love as the Hallmark of disciples should be practiced truly and not conditionally. Christians should be bold and free to worship at any Christian centre without any form of discrimination or biased. The issue of denomination should be abolished.
- Church leaders should take clues from Jesus Christ example by living a life of simplicity and servanthood. The rulership system of the world and life of extravagancy that the church is practicing must be done away with. Matt 20:25-28 should be the leader’s watchword and practice.
- Believers are the temple of God in which Godhead spirit dwell. Therefore the church leaders must focus on building the believers to meet the standard of God and to make them Christ like than to focus on building church auditorium and campground.
- The issue of having mega churches filled with mixed multitudes should be played down. True fellowship can only be well practiced where the population of congregants are sizeable. Matthew 18:18-20 emphasized the quality of fellowship having the kingdom power to loose and bind in agreement, having the assurance of answered prayer and a size beginning from 2 to 3 not necessarily a crowd
- The church leaders must not see themselves as the owner of the church but must believe that it belongs to the Godhead. They should therefore allow the spirit of Godhead to lead and direct the affairs of the church. They should henceforth stop the idea of imposing their self-interest on members of the church. The church setting must not be stereotyped but opened to allow the spirit of God to lead and to direct
- The church should imbibe all the instructions that the Lord Jesus Christ expressed in his valedictory discourse with his disciples as recorded in John 13-17. I’m ibinh the discourse and following suit will turn the church into a glorious one.
- Titles and class distinction should be an aberration in the church because it kills the fire of the Holy Spirit, limits liberty of the spirit and freedom of worship. It encourages worldliness and pride. Jesus life in ministry should be a standard for the church to follow and not vice versa.
- The church must see herself as the light of the world, a city set on a mountain top that cannot be hidden. That she is the letter that the world read and should be showcasing the kingdom of God for the world to see.
- It must be in the mind of the church that Jesus Christ did not bring religion into the world. He showed that He is the way, the truth and life, that nobody can come to the God except by Him. He only told us that God is spirit and whosoever will worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth and these set of people are those that God want to worship Him. Jesus did not designate any place of worship other than the heart of the believer nor any ceremonial form of worship (Jn 4:19-26). All the modes and rituals introduced by leaders are mere religiousity and do not hold in a true worship.
- And many more. May the Lord revive His church.
